The ITA, represented by PhD student Marina Chernyshova, together with the Institute and Chair of Landscape Architecture and the Language Centre of RWTH received a funding certificate from the RWTH Sustainability Fund for the "BauGrünKit" project from RWTH Rector Prof. Dr. Ulrich Rüdiger on 16 November 2022.

"BauGrünKit" is a do-it-yourself kit for the co-productive greening of university buildings. It can be made available to students and employees by the university to green smaller roof or façade sections on their own initiative. It provides habitat and food for various animal and plant species and can be adapted to specific species and sites. Partners in the project are the Institute of Landscape Architecture, the Institute of Textile Technology and the RWTH Language Centre, at whose facilities a prototype BauGrünKit is being tested.
