SozioTex at the 12th AKWG Day of History of Science

On February 15th 2019 the 12th AKWG Day of History of Science took place at the IHK Aachen. Its main topic was “Analysing the past – Shaping the future. History of Technology, Economic and Social History Research since the 1960s”. It was organised by the Research Unit for Economics and Social History and History of Technology and the Aachen Capability Center of Economic History.
The speakers were from different scientific fields and discussed a wide range of topics from the History of Science. Wolfgang Merx from the Institute of Textile Technology, RWTH Aachen University, as well as the SozioTex research group and Adjan Hansen-Ampah from the Institute for Sociology, RWTH Aachen University, presented the topic "Industry 4.0 – the happening revolution?” which discussed the meaning of Industry 4.0.
