This lecture is taught in German only. For your convenience, we have translated the contents.
This lecture is the ideal start into your scientific career. During 4 initial lectures, you will be taught the basics of reseach:
- Time and project management
- Statistical design
- Statistical evaluation of results graphical represenation in a report
- Oral presentation techniques
Subsequently, you carry out your research project followed by a written report. You can choose your topic from all on offer on our black boards on our our website.
Your research project is concluded with a brief oral presentation.
There is a script available which details everything covered in the above lectures. It can be purchased from the ITA Studienberatung for 5 €.

Where do I register for my Forschungslabor
You register via the campus system. If that does not work, contact our study advisor.
Can I choose any topic I want?
Yes. You can choose any topic you want from those offered at ITA.
I can't complete my Forschungslabor before I return to my home university. What am I to do?
You can hand in your written report after your return to your home university. But you must give your oral presentation while you are still at ITA.
