Symposium for „Tailored Carbon Fibers and Composites 2018“
Friday, March 09, 2018, 8:00am - 5:30 pmCopyright: ITA
The demand for composite materials for use in lightweight applications has increased significantly in recent years. At the same time, new innovations and advances in new materials, semi-finished products, equipment, processes and technologies must be developed. The upcoming symposium for "Tailored Carbon Fibers and Composites 2018" will address these challenges. It will take place on Friday 17 March 2018 in Aachen, Germany.
During the symposium, industrial partners and companies along the entire process chain from precursor manufacturers, textile manufacturers to composite manufacturers and end users will share their view on the current deficits and their desires in the processing and development of tailor-made composites. Among other things, presentations are held by renowned companies and industrial partners. The aim of the symposium is to bring together companies along the entire process chain in order to find solutions to their processing needs and deficits. In addition to lectures and presentations, five innovation workshops will be held. In these workshops, the presentation topics and mentioned deficits are discussed and needs in research and development are identified. Further information on the symposium, participation and lectures can be found on the Symposium website.
