KG, Übach-Palenberg, Germany: "As an engineer at ITA, I expanded my knowledge in textile technology and joined Saurer Spinning Solution in 2018. The Saurer Group has a total of approx. 4,500 employees worldwide and a turnover of around one billion euros per year. My team has about 10 people with an age range between 25-65 years. The serial machine design and the strong international and export-focused orientation of the group offer me a multitude of tasks, the basic tools I gained from my studies and work at the ITA help me to cope with the tasks on a daily basis. In particular, my time at ITA as department manager was very valuable for me."

Dr.-Ing. Claus Lütke, Consultant at Zenit GmbH, Muehlheim an der Ruhr, Germany: "I completed my PhD at ITA in 2017. Since then I am working as a manager of thematically focussed networks comprised of universities and companies as well as technology scout at Zenit GmbH, Muehlheim an der Ruhr, Germany. At ITA, I implemented and expanded the research activities in the field of ‘carbon fibre recycling‘ and was able to gain experience in EU-wide science networking and managee two big projects. From my time at the ITA I took along the mentality to never give up, strategic project- and annual planning as well as key account management skills for my current work."

Dr.-Ing. Mesut Cetin, Group Manager Product Management at KraussMaffei Automation GmbH, Oberding, Germany: "I completed my PhD at ITA in 2016 and now I am responsible for the product management of KraussMaffei Automation. ITA prepared me well for the industrial world: I had the opportunity to lead, to develop people and to create a strong highly motivated team. Together, we defined visions and realized our targets. In addition, I learned how to solve challenges with scientific methods and how to work solution-oriented even in critical situations."

PhD. Jacqueline Lemm, Chair and Project Manager at the Chair of Sociology of Technology and Organisation (STO) at the RWTH Aachen University: "In 2015, I received my doctorate in an interdisciplinary way with an organisational sociological topic in the application area of the textile industry. As deputy head of a junior research group, I was responsible for the BMBF-funded project SozioTex. The time at ITA was the basis of my scientific career and prepared me well for my work as a chair and project manager.

Dr.-Ing. Florian Neumann, Project Manager Technical Development at DELCOTEX, Bielefeld: "I completed my PhD at ITA in 2013. Currently, I analyse and optimise the physical production processes at DELCOTEX and coordinate plant conversions and construction of new equipment. I joined DELCOTEX via sales with a focus on 'reinforcement textiles for injection moulding'. Thus I gained a good insight into customer structure, customer requirements and operating procedures. At the same time, I assumed technical responsibility. My work at ITA prepared me very well for this: I learned how important contacts, appreciative interaction with all people, and (cold) acquisition, are for professional advancement."

Dr.-Ing. Bayram Aslan, Head of Institute of TFI - Textile and Flooring Institute of RWTH Aachen University and Managing Director of TFI AACHEN GmbH: "I completed my PhD at ITA in 2013 and am now head of the institute and managing director at TFI. Today, I am particularly benefiting from the breadth of expertise, the entrepreneurial thinking and acting, a great network and colleagues from my time at ITA with whom I am still in contact. At ITA, I was able to lead my first projects and divisions and drive forward the internationalization of ITA. During this time, I completed a supplementary course of studies to the Executive MBA alongside my doctorate. Most recently, I was a member of the ITA institute management and headed the branch offices in Turkey".

Dr.-Ing. Heiko Schenuit, Head of Mechanical Design and Development at Trützschler Nonwovens GmbH, Dülmen, Germany: "In 2012, I completed my PhD at ITA and now bear the overall responsibility for contract and development design at the machine and plant manufacturer Trützschler Nonwovens in Dülmen. I was connected to ITA and the ITA sales company in various functions for a long time - as a scientific assistant, after my studies at 3T TextilTechnologyTransfer GmbH, the predecessor of ITA GmbH, and then at ITA as a doctoral student. In addition to the diverse technical knowledge, I was able to gain experience in leading working groups - both topics that are very valuable for my current job. Interdisciplinary cooperation is still very important to me today, i.e. the 'view beyond one's own nose', which certainly has its origins in the work at ITA."

Dr.-Ing. Philip Jungbecker, Senior Manager Technology Texturizing Machines, Oerlikon Barmag,Oerlikon Barmag, Remscheid, Germany: "I worked at ITA in the field of ‘chemical fibre technology’ and completed my PhD in ‘air-jet weaving’ in 2011. I was able to learn a lot from my time at ITA for my current job and take with me, among other things, a methodical approach and structured way of working across departments. I am currently responsible for the development of texturing machines at Oerlikon Barmag, working with my 75-person team, partly in Germany and partly in China."

Dr.-Ing. Andreas Roye, Managing Director LUCEM GmbH, Aachen, Germany: "I completed my PhD at ITA in 2007 and subsequently founded LUCEM GmbH as spin-off of the ITA. At ITA, I was able to prepare myself perfectly for self-employment, e.g. I was allowed to work on the collaborative research centre 532 "Textile-reinforced concrete - the basis for the development of a new technology", accompany international exchange programs and try out a lot."

Dr.-Ing. Jens-Christian Winkler, Deputy Director of the TFI - Textile and Flooring Institute at RWTH Aachen University and authorized representative of TFI AACHEN GMBH: "I completed my industrial engineering studies at ITA and switched to the TFI - Textile and Flooring Institute at RWTH Aachen University. In 2006, I completed my PhD at ITA and am now deputy head of the institute and authorized signatory at TFI. Until today I have very appreciated partners and a good network from my time at ITA. I learned the basics of corporate management at ITA and this still shapes a large part of my work today. As head of the inspection and certification body for construction products, with a focus on the European Construction Products Regulation and German state building regulations, I held a teaching position at ITA for seven years."
