The increasing digitalisation of working environments means a rapid process of change for everyone involved. New working worlds will emerge and previous ones will change significantly. The design of these new worlds is a major challenge for various scientific disciplines. The event "Working Worlds of the Future" brings people into dialogue with each other, people from fields such as engineering sciences, theology, sociology, economics, physics and psychology. It is organised by the Diocese of Aachen in cooperation with the Nell-Breunig-Haus and the ITA of the RWTH Aachen University.
The speakers Prof. Volker Stich and Prof. Martina Ziefle (Perspectives: Economy / Communication Science) put the following thesis up for discussion: "The change to industry 4.0 is accompanied by fundamental changes in the world of work with regard to the competence requirements of the employees. What skills will be in demand here in the future?
