2nd Symposium: Resource-efficient use of composite materials and structures in the construction industry
Monday, 4 June 2018, 11:45 - 18:00 hrsDivision of Mineral Ressources and Raw Materials Engineering, RWTH (FRE)
Light, material-saving, separable and recyclable composite building materials with extended durability have the potential to support construction methods that conserve resources. This is a worthwhile goal, as the construction sector is responsible for 60% of resource consumption and over 50% of annual waste volumes in Germany.
The „Fortschrittskolleg VERBUND.NRW“ brings together young scientists from RWTH Aachen University and Münster University of Applied Sciences in the fields of technology, ecology, business administration and sociology. In an interdisciplinary network, they examine the entire value chain from development to production, design and processing, use and disposal and the dismantling and recycling of composite materials and structures in the construction sector.
Within the framework of the event, the progress of the projects will be discussed in an extended practical dialogue.
Venue: RWTH Aachen University, Super C, Generali-Saal, Aachen, Germany
Fee: Free of charge
