Materials:
We develop, e.g. together with DWI at RWTH Aachen, new materials for medical applications. Our equipment comprises spinning machinery for meltable polymers (piston, extruder up to industrial scale, bicomponent spinning) for the production of mono and multifilaments. Solution spun yarns can be produced in lab scale.
Product development (implants and explants):
We produce medical textiles in small and greater quantities. Together with our partnes, a.o. the Universitätsklinikum der RWTH Aachen, we develop and test implants and explants, e.g. blood vessels, stents, cornea prostheses, ligaments, hernia nets, meniscus prosthesis, wound dressings.
Development and design of new machines:
Where necessary, we develop new machines and devices from the idea through design to prototypes to production machines (the latter mostly with industry partners).
Development of new testing devices and processes:
We develop testing equipment for medical textiles and implants..
Quality management for the production of medical products:
We advise you in quality assurance for the production of medical products.
